Post-Master's program in Logistics Management Systems at TU/e

Two-year post-Master's degree program

Partnering with TU/e’s professional post-Master Industrial Engineering technological designer’s programme boosts your logistics and supply chain performance. If you want to know what the next thing is after Lean and Six Sigma, and make it happen in your company, you will find such aspirations satisfied by this programme.

A systems approach dedicated to help your company

The two-year Industrial Engineering post-Master programme focuses on the multidisciplinary design and implementation of systems to manage and control design, supply, production, distribution and maintenance of products and services. During the programme, the Industrial Engineering trainees focus on the logistics and supply chain challenges being faced by the industry worldwide: a systems approach to problems related to effective and efficient innovation, production, distribution and use of products and services, including information and communication systems. The process of implementing the designed solutions incorporates the latest insights into change management and human resource management.

Solving a practical industrial problem in your company

As part of this two-year programme, the Industrial Engineering trainees participate in an industrial design/development project with a company for a period of ten months in the second year of the program. For you, being an industrial partner, such a project is a fixed-date, fixed-price project. The design project, which is focused on delivering solutions to your practical logistics problems, enables industrial partners and TU/e to establish a close partnership. The Industrial Engineering trainees are highly skilled engineers who use the science available at the university to solve complex logistical and supply chain problems. The design projects will be defined by your company and executed by our Industrial Engineering trainees, supervised by one of our highly experienced design scientists; the result is usually a proof of concept or an improved control system.

Scouting talent

The involvement in the recruitment market for the early scouting and attracting of talented logistics business process engineers/designers allows your company to be a step ahead of the competition in terms of the labour market. Investing in, and involving a talented Industrial Engineering design trainee during the design project provides you with the opportunity to get to know the trainee well and to find an optimum match within your company. Once the programme has been completed, the Industrial Engineering Designer is ready to join your company.

Benefits for your company

  • On-site execution of a real-life design project by the trainee
  • Trainees can handle strategic, complicated issues and offer you a ready-to-build design
  • Your company is involved in selecting the trainee
  • Your employees benefit from and have a connection with the knowledge of TU/e
  • You have access to potential employees (all Industrial Engineering trainees) who are all selected on the basis of excellence by TU/e
